Say It In Blue

The river estuaries of the South Hams in Devon, which I know well, were the starting point of this painting.

Rather than being descriptive of any particular place, the work is a distillation of the essence of the area.

Repeated thin glazed layers of paint create the special depth and intensify of the shades of blue.
