St Francis of Assisi delivered a Sermon to the Birds in 1220.
The paintings in Assisi by Giotto of this event are truly beautiful. They have strong compositions and are a palette full of rich turquoises, blues and salmon pinks.
I feel there is a whole body of work waiting to be created about St Francis and his Canticle to creation. But this is for the future; meanwhile this is my small homage to Giotto and St Francis.
