Description
Inspired by Psalm 36:7
How precious is your unfailing love, O God!
All humanity finds shelter in the shadow of your wings.
Every year witnesses the migration of Bewick swans flying 3000 miles, from the Artic Tundra to Slimbridge in Gloucestershire. These silhouettes portray the family groups supporting and encouraging each other.
The young birds instinctively learn from the protective adults. There are interactions between family groups, displaying imprinted skills.
Each adult takes a turn in leading from the front.
Sadly, some of their safe passageways and resting areas are being lost to the activity of humans. We are stewards of this beautiful earth – and this brings responsibilities.
