His work reflects his interests in theology, poetry and the world around him.
My work reflects my interests in theology, poetry and the world around me. The theme of open competitions is often a source of inspiration and experimentation. I paint in oil and acrylic and work in mixed media. I use a variety of techniques in my printing work but principally, drypoint, collagraph, woodcut, linocut, polyester plate litho and offset. I often incorporate text into my prints and also make miniature artist’s books in small editions.
I studied art after retiring from my first profession as a civil engineer and chief officer in local government. I completed an HND in Fine Art in 2004 and an MA in Printmaking in autumn 2010. I am a Reader in the diocese of Salisbury and have a practical interest in using art as a background to preaching, Bible study and evangelism. During the past ten years I have arranged a number of concerts incorporating readings of poetry and prose, live gospel, blues and ballads with a background of projected images.
I exhibit internationally and have work in public collections.
